Biography

Josefine Saietz, (b. 1999, Denmark) 

I am a visual artist working with photography, video, illustration, and material exploration. My artistic practice focuses on encounters between humans and the more-than-human world. Through colours, slimy textures, humor, and absurdity, I return to questioning the impact humans have on nature and other species. How systems of consumerism and mass production shape the way we coexist with ecosystems, animals, and materials. By combining beauty with discomfort, I seek to openspace for reflection on intimacy, dependency, and survival in a damaged environment.
